18 Years of Connecting Businesses, People and Opportunities

This year, Across the Ocean Shipping proudly celebrates 18 years in business, marking an important milestone in a journey built on trust, service, relationships and a passion for helping businesses move forward.

What began in Melbourne in 2008 with a clear vision to provide a more personal, responsive and relationship-driven freight forwarding service has grown into an international business with offices across Australia and the United States. Since opening our doors, Across the Ocean Shipping has remained committed to helping clients move cargo around the world while building long-term partnerships based on reliability and genuine care.

From our early days in Melbourne, we expanded our presence into Los Angeles, where we have proudly operated since 2017. This strengthened our connection between Australia and the United States and allowed us to better support clients moving goods across key international trade lanes.

More recently, our continued growth in Australia has included the opening of offices in Brisbane and Perth, giving our clients greater local support across the country while maintaining the personal service that has always been central to who we are.

Over the past 18 years, our team has handled an incredible variety of shipments across different industries, countries and levels of complexity. We have supported the agriculture sector, assisted solar and renewable energy projects, moved retail and consumer goods, transported food and perishables, and delivered humanitarian aid to communities in need.

We have coordinated urgent airfreight, managed oversized project cargo, and even played a small part behind the scenes of major entertainment events by moving staging and equipment for world-renowned artists including Elton John and Adele.

Every shipment tells a story. Some have involved tight deadlines, complex logistics, challenging global events or critical deliveries that simply could not fail. Through it all, our focus has remained the same: finding solutions, delivering exceptional service and helping our customers succeed.

While our offices, technology and global network have grown significantly, one thing has never changed: our belief that great customer service starts with great people.

Across our teams in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Los Angeles and our international support network, we are fortunate to work alongside passionate and dedicated individuals who genuinely care about our customers and one another.

Our team has always been the heart of Across the Ocean Shipping. Their commitment, knowledge and willingness to go the extra mile have allowed us to build strong relationships with clients, overseas agents, carriers and partners around the world. Many of these relationships have continued for years, growing stronger through shared trust and consistent service.

As we celebrate this milestone, we want to thank our employees, clients, overseas agents and business partners who have been part of our journey. Your trust and support have helped us reach this point, and we are incredibly grateful.

Eighteen years is an achievement worth celebrating, but we remain as ambitious and passionate as ever. We look forward to continuing to grow, innovate and help our customers navigate global trade for many years to come.
